Characteristics: Blanketflower is a widely distributed and well known wildflower. Plants feature large mostly yellow flowers. The disco flowers may be reddish in color as well as as the base of the petals of the ray flowers in some cases. Plants grow to a height of 2 feet. Blanketflower is late spring early summer bloomer typically in the valleys in the Inland Northwest.
Cultivation: Grow in full sun with low to moderate moisture. Plants are drought tolerant once established. This species will grow in a variety of soils but prefers a well drained soil.
